Cross The Ages Era #3 includes changes to the scoring system, starting hand & card draw, as well as the addition of an affixes system.
The development team of collectible card game Cross The Ages has officially announced that the upcoming Era #3 are planned to launch on Monday, March 6th.
Era #3 brings with it adjustments to the scoring system, changes to starting hand and card draw, and a new affixes system.
While simple affinities will no longer give points under the new scoring system, double affinities will however award 1 point. Capture points will remain the same, with players earning 2 points per capture and the Points threshold will also stay as is at 65 points.
When it comes to the starting hand and card draw, players will begin with 4 cards and draw 1 for every turn, with 5 cards in hand for the first playable turn.
According to the official Twitter thread, the new affixes system introduces an “in-game event randomizer” that makes gameplay more dynamic, with every type of affixes being unlocked based on the player's rating. While the affixes from the first pool are unlocked by reaching specific ratings, the second pool of affixes is gets unlocked entirely after the player reaches a rating of 1700+, and all of these affixes are set to be available in-game and randomized for every match. The first pool consists of Classic, Elemental, Score Twist, Extended Reach, Inspiring, Limited Reach, Field Overflow and Revolution.
