The tournament is set to take place on March 11th and 18th, with the first round being held from 5-8pm UTC. There will be six rounds of swiss style tournaments, with only 8 players moving on to the final round. In the final round, taking place on March 18th from 5-8pm UTC, the remaining players will compete in a single elimination battle. The winner will ascend the throne as the greatest warrior of the tournament and will receive an Elemental Eternal NFT as well as another Elemental Eternal NFT that will be randomly distributed among all of the participants.
To participate in the tournament, players must register and be available for the two time slots allocated to the tournament. It is essential to note that players need to be familiar with the basics of Arena Combats to stand a chance of winning. To master the game, players must practice steadily and patiently. Using a gamepad is an additional advantage to survive the stings of the opponent. Each Champion has specific attacks and abilities based on body parts and traits. Players can perform different battle tactics like blocking, dodging, and charging. Currently, players can only pick from an array of pre-selected game of heroes. However, in the future, players would be able to use their preferred characters.
For those with Prime or Champion NFT, they can use their NFT as an in-game avatar, including all of its specific traits and appearance. Players without NFT must use a default, generic, human avatar.
Champion Ascension also organizes a weekly pre-Alpha featuring an arena combat and some mini-games. This pre-Alpha takes place on Thursday (9 am and 3 pm PST), Friday, and Saturday (2 am, 9 am, and 3 pm PST). Each session lasts for only 2 hours.
