Cambria Season 2 Hits $1M Prize Pool in Just 6 Days

Cambria Season 2

Cambria, one of the most talked-about blockchain games of the year, has just hit a huge milestone—and it did it fast. Just six days into its second season, the game’s player-funded prize pool surged past $1 million in USDC, a feat that’s turning heads across the crypto and gaming communities.

Let’s dive into why Cambria Season 2: The Paymasters is such a big deal and what’s making players flock to this browser-based MMO.

The $1 Million Milestone: Powered by Players

On April 17th, the official X (formerly Twitter) account for Cambria dropped the big news: the player-funded prize pool surpassed $1 million in just under a week. That's right—8862 players minted over 21,877 Royal Charters and 132,000+ Energy Orbs, all contributing to the growing pot of USDC up for grabs.

The prize pool in Cambria isn’t funded by the devs or some anonymous whale—it’s entirely player-driven. If you want a shot at the rewards, you’ve got to put in both time and crypto.

How the Prize Pool Works in Cambria Season 2

So, how exactly does this work?

To compete for rewards, players must mint a Royal Charter—available for 0.02 ETH or around 53 RON. This isn’t just a pay-to-play ticket; it’s your pass to participate in risk-to-earn gameplay. While free-to-play users get a taste of the action, the real competition is reserved for those who commit with a Charter.

Once you’re in, your daily gameplay will consume Energy, which regenerates daily if you have a Royal Charter. Energy is vital for all in-game activities, especially expeditions outside the safe zones, where rewards (and risks) spike dramatically. Want to keep going after running out of Energy? You’ll need to mint additional Energy Orbs.

And here’s the kicker: Every Royal Charter and Energy Orb minted adds directly to the prize pool. That means every player competing for a piece of the pie is also helping bake it.

Dungeon Warfare: The Midseason Showstopper

Not long after the prize pool crossed the million-dollar line, Cambria’s devs rolled out a massive midseason update, and it came packed with fresh features. The biggest buzz? Dungeon Warfare.

This is a limited-time event where players battle their way through a sprawling dungeon map to mine Gold Ore, which is worth 500 Royal Favor or 15,000 Silver. You’ll need a Dungeon Pass to enter—15,000 Silver for the regular version or 150,000 Silver for the Guild Mine Pass. These passes are non-tradable and safe from death drops, so you won’t lose them if you get wiped out inside.

The dungeon is no joke—multi-level, filled with secret passages and dead ends, designed to test your navigation and survival skills. Once the Gold Ore is gone, the event ends, and you can cash in your haul at the Royal Treasury.

Arcane Research: Buff Up Your Magical Arsenal

Magic users, rejoice—Arcane Research is here.

This system lets players unlock the hidden power of Tier 5 Occultist’s Staves, increasing attack speed and magical damage. Arcane Research can be leveled up to Level 40, with each level demanding more Silver but providing increasingly potent bonuses.

If you love building magic-focused loadouts, this is your chance to truly specialize and stand out.

The Paymasters Hideout V2: New Perks for Syndicate Contributors

Players who have deposited at least 5 Royal Charters into the Syndicate Vault earn the title of Paymaster—and Season 2 has just made that title way more valuable.

The updated Paymasters Hideout (now version 2) includes direct teleport access via the Magic tab, along with everything you need in one place: the Bank, Trading Post, Shops, Ser Althus, and more. But the benefits don’t stop at convenience.

Paymasters now enjoy:

  • No Paymaster Tax until reaching the Energy Orb cap

  • A slick coin trail cosmetic effect

  • Enhanced strategic flexibility

It’s one of the most desirable in-game roles, rewarding both commitment and contribution.

Prestige Combat Masteries: Reset, Rebuild, Dominate

Season 2 also introduces a Prestige system for Combat Masteries. Players who’ve maxed all combat skills to level 95 can now activate a Scroll of Mastery, resetting everything to level 1 in exchange for powerful Prestige perks.

These include:

  • Extra mastery points

  • Faster combat XP gain

  • Up to 8.5% increased attack speed

It’s a high-risk, high-reward system that adds depth and replayability for veteran players chasing top-tier builds.

Hearthfire Gear: Power Through the Pain

Last but definitely not least is the Hearthfire armor set—perfect for aggressive players who want to deal more damage the lower their HP drops.

This gear allows for 810+ max hit potential, but only if you’re fully equipped, including the devastating two-handed Hearthfire Axe. It’s a glass cannon playstyle taken to the extreme, and you can find the full set in the Sousin Armory.

Final Thoughts: Cambria Season 2 Is a Blockchain Gaming Powerhouse

From the player-driven $1M prize pool to feature-rich updates like Dungeon Warfare and Prestige Masteries, Cambria Season 2 is proving that blockchain games can be community-powered, rewarding, and insanely fun.

If you’re curious about what the future of gaming looks like, Cambria is setting the standard. And if you're just getting into blockchain games, this is the perfect time to jump in.

So, are you ready to mint a Royal Charter and claim your share of the rewards?
