Axie Infinity Classic Mode Exciting Updates for Season 8

Axie Infinity Classic

Axie Infinity’s Classic mode is leveling up once again with a fresh set of updates ahead of Season 8. These changes bring enhancements to gameplay, interface, and mechanics, making the experience smoother for new players while offering deeper strategic elements for veterans. Let’s dive into the latest improvements, including the expansion of Tower Mode, the introduction of Gear utility, and a refined quest system.

New Quest System: Structured Progression for All Players

A key highlight of this update is the introduction of Starter and Guardian Mode quests, designed to enhance both beginner and experienced player experiences.

Starter Mode Quests

For players new to blockchain games, Starter Mode provides an easy introduction to Axie Classic. These quests allow players to earn Gold, Gems, and other in-game rewards by completing basic tasks such as:

  • Logging in daily

  • Participating in PvP battles

  • Clearing floors in Tower Mode

This structured onboarding approach ensures that players can learn the game without needing to own an axie, making it more accessible than ever.

Guardian Mode Quests

For more seasoned players who own or have been delegated three axies, Guardian Mode presents a more significant challenge. Rewards include Gold, Dust, and Premium Pass bonuses, particularly for those who purchase the Battle Pass. These quests focus on higher-difficulty tasks such as:

  • Winning multiple PvP matches

  • Maintaining win streaks in the Cursed Coliseum

This system pushes experienced players to refine their strategies and compete at a higher level.

Tower Mode Expansion: More Floors, More Challenges

One of the most exciting updates in Axie Classic is the expansion of Tower Mode, a PvE feature that has now doubled in size.

  • Previously limited to five floors, Tower Mode now features ten levels.

  • The first five floors are available immediately and are free from environmental debuffs, making them more accessible.

  • The additional five floors, available in the second week, introduce environmental challenges, increasing the difficulty and requiring advanced strategies.

This expansion offers greater content and rewards, making PvE gameplay more engaging for all players.

Gear Utility: Customize and Enhance Your Axies

Gear is finally here! This long-awaited feature introduces a new way to equip, upgrade, and craft items to customize axies.

  • Gear functions similarly to Runes and Charms in Axie Origins but comes with distinct mechanics.

  • Players will receive a free Level 3 HP Gear to kickstart their customization journey.

  • Gear is not available in Cursed Coliseum battles to maintain fair gameplay.

If an axie has a Gear conflict, the team will automatically revert to the last valid setup, ensuring a seamless experience.

Attack+ Buff Mechanic Adjustments

To improve clarity and game balance, the Attack+ Buff has been reworked:

  • Instead of lasting for a set number of rounds, it now applies for a specific number of turns starting from the next card played.

  • The Cockadoodledoo ability now grants the Attack+ effect to the entire team but no longer boosts Morale.

  • Players can upgrade to Attack++ (a 40% attack boost) by stacking multiple Cockadoodledoo buffs (up to five times).

These changes ensure more strategic depth while refining how buffs interact within the game.

Interface and Gameplay Improvements

A variety of user interface updates and quality-of-life changes have been implemented to enhance the player experience:

  • The artifact icon is now restored in the Confirm Challenge UI.

  • Players can now delete a guild if it has no axies, GP, or AXS in the Vault and only one remaining member.

  • Several bug fixes improve pagination, tooltip displays, and incorrect UI elements.

  • Queue times are significantly reduced during the off-season, leading to faster matchmaking.

  • A card name search feature has been added to help players quickly find specific cards in their collection.

  • The friend request system now allows accepting or rejecting all requests at once.

  • Accessory updates, improved Tower Mode floor displays, and streamlined team selection enhance usability.

These improvements make the game more intuitive and user-friendly, ensuring smoother gameplay.

The Evolution of Axie Classic Continues

Axie Classic has seen continuous enhancements over the past year, introducing features such as Guilds, Tournaments, and system refinements. With Season 8 on the horizon, these latest updates reinforce the game’s commitment to offering an engaging, strategic, and rewarding experience for all players.

Stay tuned for more exciting developments in blockchain games as Axie Infinity Classic continues to evolve within the Ronin ecosystem!
